This support group, sponsored by the North Shore Senior Center, is for people with hearing loss who are looking for advice or answers to questions. Each person is asked if they have a question or topic on hearing. Those questions are addressed one by one, under the direction of the facilitator, by others in the group; this allows those of us with hearing loss to share and compare our personal solutions and successes while living with hearing loss. We discuss coping and stress-reducing strategies, assertiveness and self-advocacy ideas. We learn about new assistive technology and gain information to become more informed consumers. Everything shared in this support group is considered confidential and is not shared outside of this group.

This support group meets every Monday (except the second Monday of the month) virtually at 11:00 a.m. on Zoom. For more information contact Ana Pinshower at the North Shore Senior Center, 847-784-6000.
